Dwayne Nesmith is CEO of Merita, a provider of management consulting services to high growth technology firms, and an early stage investor. He continues to perform research on effective work based learning programs, sharing insights so companies can accelerate their skill building at work offerings.
Dwayne has served as CEO, COO, and CFO for software and services companies such as Clear Technology, ElectricApps, and Viant. He has co-founded several companies, including Viant where he helped the company raise over $210 million in equity financing, and grow to more than $150 million in annual revenues with over 750 employees.
Earlier in his career, Dwayne held positions at Oracle, Compuware, and Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). He received his BS in Computer Science from the University of Mississippi where he earned Academic All-SEC honors as a linebacker, served as team captain, and was elected president of the M-Club, the Ole Miss letter winners’ club. Dwayne earned his MBA from Harvard.
Dwayne supports early stage startup companies in Colorado through his current and past work with CTECH, Innovation Center of the Rockies (now Innosphere), Rockies Venture Club, and 10.10.10.
