For more than 20 years, I’ve worked with high growth companies in the Energy, Software and Professional Services Industries. This starting on the front lines delivering large-scale systems integration projects for Oil and Gas Companies and took me through marketing stints at software companies, to the CFO office during the IPO of a professional services company, to running software and services companies and now back to the energy industry driving energy efficiency projects for companies and the vendors which service them.

I’m as comfortable talking to a CEO about her largest concerns and best opportunities, as I am talking to a Wall Street analyst about an emerging business model or a new college hire about career planning. I love to learn and know I’ll learn something valuable from each of them.

At the end of the day, I like working toward collective goals that make a difference with a talented, dedicated group of people.  Some say I’m trying to relive my college days as a starting linebacker in the SEC.  We certainly achieved a lot through hard work and coordinated effort.  And there is nothing wrong with working together to make a difference.  Driving more efficient uses of energy certainly makes a difference whether your primary concern is Peak Oil, Global Climate Change, Energy Independence, Cost Management or any combination of these.

I’m active in the community, coaching my son’s sports programs, volunteering at their school and with scouts.  My wife, Lisa and I are former partners with Boulder Social Ventures and continue to work with organizations providing healthy after school programs for kids.
